Michelle Biggins
Chartered Physio
Michelle Biggins is a Chartered Physiotherapist and runs ProActive Physio. Michelle travelled to Rio with Team Ireland for the 2016 Olympic Games. She was Head Physio for Team Ireland for the World University Games in 2017. She is also doing a PhD on Sleep at University of Limerick and is passionate about providing evidence based physiotherapy to all her patients. She recently Qualified as a Yoga instructor in Aruba.
She has worked in the Private Practice and Sports Injury setting for the last ten years and her hard work has taken her to the Olympics in London in 2012, the World Uni Games in Russia in 2013, and South Korea in 2015. Michelle has also worked with Galway Senior Football, Galway Senior Hurling, Galway U-21 Football, Galway U-21 Hurling, Galway Minor Hurling, and Galway United.
Michelle has a keen interest in sport and keeping fit. She previously played Gaelic football at inter-county and university level and also ran the London Marathon for Croi in 2011. Her current training involves Crossfit 3 times per week, yoga every day and Pilates and Gymnastics whenever she can! Michelle runs our Instagram page @proactivephysio that involves lots of different exercises she uses herself and with her patients.
Michelle has completed numerous post-graduate courses and alongside sports injuries, she has a special interest in Back Pain and Headache.
