Leona Ryder

 

Leona has an MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton and a BSc in Athletic Therapy and Training from Dublin City University. Leona is originally from Newport in Mayo and brings another green and red flag to the clinic!

Leona has a lot of clinical experience working in private practice and with numerous sports teams. She has a keen interest in sports and has represented Mayo Ladies football at senior intercounty level. She has also played GAA handball at senior level. This has given Leona a great understanding of the importance of staying fit and healthy and dealing with the challenges of being injured.

Leona has a special interest in injuries of the lower limb i.e. hip, groin and knee injuries. She prioritises patients’ individual goals and designs a target rehab program that is most appropriate for that person, based on best scientific evidence. Leona is committed to helping patients overcome their injuries and return to daily activities or sport.
